Two (2) 19th Century Toleware items. 1st item: Lowe (Glasgow, Scotland) tole painted advertising tea tin, green ground with Chinoiserie figural vignette decoration to one side. 15" H. 2nd item: English black toleware hat box, square form with coffin lid, unmarked. 10 1/4" H x 11" square.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of James W. Perkins, Jr., Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: 1st item: Some scattered denting and losses to paint decoration, with some oxidation noted to the base. 2nd item: Likely later repainted, overall good condition with general wear.
