Sam Houston signed Tennessee land grant July 2nd, 1828, granting 100 acres in Cocke County (East Tennessee) to Isaac Allen. Large signature for Sam Houston in the space for the GovernorÃs signature. Sam HoustonÃs term lasted until 1829 when he resigned and moved to Texas. Houston later became the President and Governor of Texas. 12? x 14 3/8?, framed 18? x 21 1/2?. Condition: Condition Partial separations at fold lines with minor losses and tape residue (especially lower left quadrant), and overall toning/foxing.
