Two (2) paper ephemera items related to Woodstock, the music festival held August 15-18, 1969, on Max Yasgur's dairy farm in Bethel, New York. 1st item: AQUARIAN EXPOSITION: WOODSTOCK MUSIC AND ARTS FESTIVAL program, edited by Michael Forman, published by Concert Hall Publications, Inc., 1969. Softcover quarto, 58 magazine formatted pages with profiles of each musician, including color and black and white photographic images and lyrics, and advertisements, bound in stapled pictorial cardstock wrappers. 11" H x 8 1/2" W. 2nd item: Woodstock Music and Arts Fair brochure flyer, printed by Radio City Station, New York, 1969. Pictorial brochure printed in black and purple on glossy white paper with an intact ticket order form and general information including descriptions of the festival events and directions. Closed: 8 5/8" H x 4 1/8" W. Opened: 8 5/8" H x 8 1/8" W. Provenance: The program was purchased by the consignor at the Woodstock Festival gate on Thursday, August 14, 1969. The brochure flyer was acquired prior to the festival by request of the consignor.
CONDITION: 1st item: Overall very good condition with toning, some wrinkling to lower sections of pages and wrappers, approximately 3" H. Wrappers with light shelf wear including creasing to top right corners, scattered staining, scuffs, general handling wear. Interior of wrappers and some pages, primarily the first few and last pages, with areas of foxing, largest 1/2". Back credits page and interior of back cover with areas of acid burn, largest 1 1/2" x 1/4". 2nd item: Overall good condition with light toning and handling wear, including creases, scuffs, 5 1/2" x 2 3/4" area of dampstaining to front cover.
