Three (3) antique textiles. 1st item: One (1) hand-pieced and hand-quilted Tennessee quilt with Goose Tracks pattern blocks, cotton throughout with brown and green fabrics and one block with maroon patterned fabric. Having medium-weight cotton batting and back-to-front binding on three sides with rounded corners and one side with a knife edge. 85 1/4" H x 63 1/2" W. Note: This quilt was made in Wilson County, TN. The fabrics have been professionally examined and help date this quilt circa 1910. 2nd item: Biederwand Jacquard coverlet with center medallion and foliate designs rendered with natural cotton warp and weft of green, dark blue, and red wools and natural cotton. With applied handwoven fringe on three sides and separate binding on one side. Signed "Sarah Ann Dauman" in all four corners (backward in two corners), possibly indicating for whom this piece was woven. Single loom width. 93 1/2" H x 89 1/2" W (without fringe). Northern, mid-19th century. 3rd item: Overshot coverlet woven in a traditional Forty-Nine Snowballs and Window Sash Table pattern with a warp of light blue cotton thread and weft of red and brown wool with a natural cotton border. Composed of three (3) loom widths which are blind hemmed to each other and each side. 82" H x 80 1/2 L. Probably made in Tennessee, 20th Century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Richard H. and Kathleen L. Hulan.
