Two (2) Remington New Model 1858 Single-Action Belt Percussion Revolvers, .44 caliber. 1st item: Serial number 85005, underside of barrel. Barrels marked "Patented Sept. 14, 1858/E. Remington & Sons. Ilion, New York. U.S.A./New-Model". Walnut stocks, metal frames, octagonal barrels, brass trigger guards. "JUB" and "P" inspector's marks, on and under barrel and trigger guard, "GR" inscribed in rectangle cartouche, bottom of stocks. 2nd item: Serial number 35385, underside of barrel. Barrels marked "Patented Sept. 14, 1858/E. Remington & Sons. Ilion, New York. U.S.A./New-Model". Walnut stocks, metal frames, octagonal barrels, brass trigger guards. Both items housed in a hand made wooden box with brass latches and interior fitted compartments, inscribed with name of previous owner, lower right of lid, inscribed date "Dec. 1947", lower left of lid. Barrel lengths – 6 1/2". Overall lengths – 14 1/4". Box – 2 3/8" H x 16 1/4" 9 1/8" D. Civil War Era. CONDITION: Overall good condition. 1st item: 10% blue. Excellent stocks. Action is good. Serial number underside of barrel does not match serial number 6300 on cylinder. 2nd item: Action does not register. Cylinder does not have serial number.
