Archive of Confederate Currency and Premium Cup. 1st grouping – Archive of Confederate currency relating to J. C. Gardner of Alabama including five (5) $1 Alabama currency notes (1863), two (2) $5 Confederate States notes (1864), and (10) $10 Confederate States of America notes (1864). 2nd item – Silverplate premium cup with the inscription "J. C. Gardner, Best packed bale cotton". 3 5/8"H. Late 19th century. Condition: 1st grouping – One Alabama note with wear and tears to margins, remaining four in very good condition with one note having a small 1/8" tear to corner. One $5 Confederate note with corner loss of approx. 1/8", couple of small upper margin tears. A few $10 notes with minor tears at margin areas. All currency notes have scattered pinholes. 2nd item – tarnished near handle, light bend to rim and dent to one side.
