Large Japanese figural ivory okimono on teak base, depicting a reclining male figure with fan at his feet and children playing beside and on his back, a separate child mounted nearby. Figure's hood features elaborate incised decoration including dragons. Red signature seal mark for Akiyuki inset on the underside of the large figural grouping. Figure: 4" H x 11 3/4" W. On stand: 6" H x 17" W x 7 1/2" D. 19th century, Meiji period. Condition: Pinkie fingertip of lone child broken. An original additional figure appears to be missing.
