Two (2) Asian jade items, including one (1) double inkpot with etched foliate designs throughout and two wells with circular stoppers, includes a fitted case with hasp latch; and one (1) Tibetan spinach jade footed tea bowl. Inkpot: 1" H x 3 1/8" W x 1 1/" D. Box: 1 3/8" H x 4 1/2" W x 3" D. Bowl: 2 1/4" H x 4 1/4" dia. Both items 19th century or earlier. Note: Both items purchased 1965 in Kashmir. Inkpot from Gulam Mohidin & Son, Sringagar, Kashmir, and bowl from M.A. Ramzana, Kashmir. Copy of receipt for the bowl (only) is available to the winning bidder.
PROVENANCE: Property of a Tennessee Religious Institution.
CONDITION: Inkpot with scattered natural fissures throughout and minute fleabites to rims and stoppers. Case with fraying to inner lining and wear to outer paper decoration. Numbered sticker label to underside. Bowl with minor surface wear and sticker residue to underside.
