Chinese pewter-encased Yixing teapot with jade mounts, attributed to Yang Peng Nian. Quatrefoil form having incised flowering branch decoration to one side and running calligraphy script to the other, fitted with jade finial, handle, and spout. Red-brown clay pot stamped with four-character seal form to the interior, possibly Yang Pengnian zhi or Yang Pengnian zao. 3 3/8" H x 6 5/8" W x 3 5/8" D. Qing period, 19th century.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with scattered minor oxidation, surface scratches, and denting. Some bending to rim and inner lip of lid. Green felt added to underside.
