Sterling Strauser (Pennsylvania, 1907-1995) oil on board abstract still life painting depicting sunflowers, and other pink, blue, and yellow flowers in a blue vase, rendered in a thick impasto technique. Signed and dated "Strauser 1970" bottom right. Housed in a giltwood Rococo style frame. Sight:15 1/4" W x 19 1/4" H. Framed: 19 1/2" W x 23 1/2" H.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville, Tennessee estate.
CONDITION: Oil painting in wear to frame including loss to gilt decoration, approximately 2".
