Two (2) framed color lithographs on wove paper from A BUNCH OF BUCKSKINS, the 1901 Frederic Remington portfolio, including "Indian Scout", and "Arizona Cowboy." Each print signed in stone and with printed "Copyright 1901 by Robert Howard Russell" lower left. Matted under glass in a narrow parcel gilt and ebonized frame. Sheet- 20" x 15". Frames – 25"H x 21"W. Note: "A Bunch of Buckskins," a portfolio containing eight (8) lithographic images of Western subjects, was regarded as Frederic Remington's most successful print series. It was published 1901 by frequent Remington collaborator R.H. Russell. (The original pastels from the portfolio were included in the artist's first solo gallery exhibition in New York in December 1901). In 1908, Remington is said to have been delighted when he checked into the Irma Hotel in Cody, Wyoming, and saw a full set framed and hanging in the lobby.

CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Toning to both paper and mat. Taped to mat at 3 sides.
