"Lone Star" or "Star of Texas" pattern pieced and appliqued quilt, hand stitched in pastel shades on purple background with pink backing. 88" x 72" Circa 1900. Provenance: descended in a longtime Middle Tennessee family; one member of the family practiced law for a period of time in Texas. CONDITION: A few scattered small stains to front, 1/2" or smaller (2 are dark); green fabric has very light color run onto surrounding yellow fabric in a few areas; back has some scattered small or light stains. Overall good condition.
