Kathe Kollwitz (German, 1867-1945) crayon lithograph on laid paper entitled "Nachdenkende Frau (Pensive Woman)", 1920, depicting the head of a woman who wears a pained expression and places her right hand on her forehead in a forlorn manner. Signed in pencil "Kathe Kollwitz," lower right. With G. Fichtner watermark. Housed under plexiglass in a modern ebonized wooden frame with cream fabric mat and black reveal. Ref.: Klipstein 146/Knesebeck 161. Sheet: 18" H x 14 3/4" W. Frame: 25 3/4" x 22 1/2".
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. With faint toning to image, minute creasing to upper-right margin outside of image, and miniscule stain to nose of figure.
