Harry Bertoia (Italian, 1915-1978), 2 midcentury modern chairs by Knoll. 1st item: Bertoia Diamond chair, original beige upholstery on a polished steel frame, label removed. 27″ H x 45″W x 35″D. 2nd item: White enameled steel wire chair with yellow butterfly wing style folding vinyl cushion. Label removed. 30 1/4″H x 21″ W x 18 1/2″D. Provenance: Consignor’s father acquired these while working for Knoll in the 1960s-70s. Mid 20th century. CONDITION: 1st item: Some light discoloration to top area of chair cushion and scattered light pilling and fading to upholstery, inner foam is dry. 2nd item: Some scattered surface wear and abrasions to frame paint and small scattered stains and light fading to seat cushion, overall good condition.
