Chinese Tang Dynasty (6th-9th century AD) or Ming Dynasty (1368-1644 AD) Sancai earthenware tomb guardian sculpture with green, lead glaze on the figure's robe, and a detachable head painted in a flesh-toned pigment applied after firing, standing on a hexagonal plinth. 16 1/2" H. Condition: Break to neck of detachable head. Losses to front of neck area. Chips to base and overall wear to glaze.
