John French Sloan (New York / Pennsylvania, 1871-1951) etching titled "Nude on Hearth" depicting an interior scene with a female nude resting on her side in front of a fireplace. Signed "John Sloan" in the etching lower left. Additionally pencil signed "John Sloan" lower right edge of the print, numbered "100 proofs" lower left of print and titled lower mid-margin. Kraushaar Galleries label en verso together with a framer's label, professionally framed with conservation techniques. Housed in a modern giltwood frame with white mat and gilt wood liner. Etching: 5 1/4" H x 6 3/4" W. Sight: 6 5/8" H x 7 7/8" W. Framed: 14 1/2" H x 15" W.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Ann H. Wells, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Etching paper with overall even toning, otherwise overall very good condition. Not examined out of the frame.
