Wolf Kahn (New York/Vermont, born 1927) pastel on paper abstract composition in orange, blue, brown and green. Signed lower right “W. Kahn”. Housed under glass in a molded giltwood frame with matte. 9″ x 11 1/2″ sight, 16″ x 18″ framed. American, mid 20th century. Biography: Wolf Kahn studied under Abstract Expressionist painter Hans Hofmann (later becoming Hofmann’s studio assistant) and at the University of Chicago. He is known for his works which which blend abstractionism and realism with Color Field painting. CONDITION: Light toning to paper, overall very good condition.
