Sterling Strauser (Pennsylvania, 1907-1995) oil on board still life painting depicting a buffet table laden with fruits and flowers against a white and light purple background, rendered in a heavy impasto technique. Signed and dated "Strauser 90" lower right. Float mounted in a metallic silver wooden frame having a matching fillet and an off white linen liner. Sight: 10" H x 24" W. Framed: 13" H x 27" W.
PROVENANCE: Private Nashville estate, purchased Lyzon Gallery, Nashville, 1990. Copy of receipt available to the winning bidder.
