Pair of two (2) French gilt carved Louis XVI style fauteuils or armchairs, squared backs having shaped and carved wreath, ribbon, and floral crests; fluted finials; acanthus, guilloche, and beaded carved arms and supports; fluted tapering legs; and silk taupe colored floral patterned upholstery. 42 1/4" H x 23" W x 21" D. Late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Both overall good condition with scattered light wear and slight losses to gilt decoration. Later upholstery.
