Dutch Baroque style bombe commode or chest of drawers, walnut and burlwood veneers, oak secondary. Serpentine molded top with book-matched burl veneer over a case with bombe curved sides and four dovetailed drawers fitted with figure and swag hardware, resting on shaped bracket feet. 33" H x 37" W x 21 1/2" D. Late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with some scattered abrasions and shrinkage to veneers, shrinkage cracking to sides, and some veneer losses to feet; some losses to molding near base.
