After Rosa Marie (Rosalie) Bonheur (United States/France, 1822-1899), two (2) bronze sculptures depicting bulls on naturalistic bases. Bull with head turned to the left signed "R. Bonheur" to left side of base (6" H x 9 1/2" W); Bull with upturned head signed "Rosa B" to left side of base, inscribed "Modele" to underside of base (5 3/4" H x 8 1/4" W). Late 19th/early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Dr. Andrew Wilkerson, by descent from the estate of Vernon and Vicki Meche, Iron City, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Both items in overall very good condition. One with minor areas of oxidation to base.
