Pair Knoll Barcelona Chairs, designed in 1929 by Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and manufactured circa 1965. Original black tufted leather cushions with leather support straps, polished steel X-form legs. Both chairs retain the original labels and stickers for "Knoll Associates Inc., 320 Park Avenue, New York, NY 10022." 30" H x 30" W x 29 1/2" D. Ref. Knoll Furniture: 1938-1960, Rouland and Rouland, pg. 80.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Ronnie Steine, Nashville, by descent from his parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Steine.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Some wear to lower leather straps on both chairs, one has some scuff lines to upper edge of seat. Minor scratching to metal legs.
