English Regency calamander crossbanded Pembroke table, D-form drop leaves having satinwood and mahogany triple cross banding over a single drawer and a faux drawer front with line inlay, keyhole, and two knob pulls with mother-of-pearl inlay, on turned legs ending in casters. 28" H x 21" W (closed) x 36" D; 41" W (open). Second quarter of 19th century.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Minor age warping to top and leaves. Minute scattered age splits to veneer. Scattered minor areas of repair to veneer, primarily to edge, largest measuring 5/8" x 2 3/4". Two areas of loss near hinges, largest measuring 3/8" x 1 5/8". Possible old repair to one corner of top, area measuring 6 1/4" x 1 3/8".
