Three Spanish Colonial carved and polychrome painted wooden Magi Nativity Santos figures, all depicted on horses and affixed within a painted wood reliquary with arched glass-inset side windows, the roof facade with carved central cross. Overall: 19 1/2 in. H x 11 in. W x 7 in. D. Late 19th to early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Melanie Joy, Nashville, TN.
CONDITION: Wear throughout; alligatoring and losses to paint. One wise man figure is missing a hand. Break to facade at roofline. Wire added to back for hanging on a wall.
