Two (2) Native American Cherokee rivercane baskets including one (1) market basket with a squared base, fixed hickory handle, walnut, and butternut weavers woven in the chief’s coffin pattern, and one (1) rectangular tray with walnut and butternut weavers woven in the Chief’s Daughter pattern. 13 1/4 in. H x 10 in. W and 3 1/2 in. H x 16 in. W x 11 1/2 in. D. Both 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Marty and David Black, Rockford, TN.
CONDITION: Very light wear to base of the market basket. Tray basket in very good condition.
