Elaborately carved giltwood architectural Tabernacle or reliquary niche, pine and composition, demilune form with stepped base and domed top, supported on five Corinthian columns. Adorned with Classical style carved grape and wheat motifs and topped by a figural cherub or angel head, the domed interior featuring a cloud and sunburst carving with triangle and carved Jewish or Orthodox letters or symbols. Condition: losses to composition and gilding, separations, large age crack at top back, some possible repainting to columns. 45" H x 26" W x 15" D. Continental, 19th century.
