Five William Moorcroft pottery items. 1st: Indigo patterned lidded ginger jar, marked with modern green mark, "Moorcroft / Made in England / copyright 94 / WM" and date ciphers. 4 1/4" H. 2nd: Bourgainvillae patterned vase, marked with "Walter Moorcroft" initial then impressed "MOORCROFT / MADE IN ENGLAND". 7" H. 3rd: Clematis patterned shallow footed bowl/dish, impressed "MOORCROFT / MADE IN ENGLAND". 5 1/2" Dia. 4th: Clematis patterned shallow lidded shallow bowl, impressed "MOORCROFT / MADE IN ENGLAND", and circular gum label "By Appointment / W. Moorcroft / Potters to the late Queen Mary". 5 1/2" Dia. 5th: Clematis pattern bottle neck vase with flared rim, in script underglaze "WM" then impressed "W. Moorcroft / Potter to HM the Queen / Made in England". 6 3/8" H. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Robert Meyer, Crossville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Each in overall very good condition except for lidded shallow bowl with interior rim chip 1/2" x 1". Wear and condition commensurate with age and use.
