Lot of 4 Confederate Reunion items. 1ST ITEM: Two mounted photographs of United Confederate Veterans Commander, Julius Franklin Howell, the last Commander in Chief of the U.C.V. Born 1848 in Nanesmond, Va., enlisted at age 16 and served as a corporal in Co. K., 24th Virginia Cavalry. (1) Photograph, framed. 10×13, Color, 1940s. Portrait of Howell in his Commander's uniform standing in front of a large confederate flag. (2) Photograph, framed. 10×13, color, 1940s . Gen Howell laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Back marked 'Stebbins', Memphis, Tn. Both very good condition. 2ND ITEM: United Confederate Veterans General Julius Franklin Howell, Photo, framed. 7 1/2 x 12", black & white, 1930s. This frame bears2 images of J. F. Howell. The bottom image is of a much older Howell in his U.C.V. General's uniform. His coat has what appears to be a 1937 U.C.V. Reunion medal from Jackson, Miss. Both photos are cut and have a die-cut appearance. Both of these images show some wear.
