Alexander Clader (American, 1898-1976) aquatint etching in colors on handmade wove paper, untitled from “The Sacrilege of Alan Kent.” A single figure stands before a yellow-striped circus tent surmounted by a red flag. Published by Maeght Editeur, Paris. From the individually-signed and numbered edition of 60, aside from the edition of 200 on Rives BFK signed and numbered only on the justification page. Pencil signed, lower right, and numbered 15/60, lower left. Mounted to matboard backing. Sheet: 16 1/2 in. H x 17 4/5 in. W. Mount: 21 3/8 in. H x 22 3/8 in. W. 1976.
