Chinese Qing ladies embroidered silk court robe having a dark blue ground, the body with embroidered flower, bat, and butterfly decoration, the lower edge with wave and flower designs. Sleeves with gold floral and butterfly cuffs. Pale blue silk lining with black knotted closure. 43 1/2" H x 51" W. Late 19th/Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: Estate of Judge John Nixon, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition. Some fading, fraying, and minor staining to interior lining, particularly at neck.
