41 Coin silver and sterling flatware items with incuse marks for T.C. Calvert, working Lexington, Kentucky c.1850-1899+. Includes 4 large table or serving spoons (8 3/4" L, all monogrammed CLEMMIE); 10 tablespoons (8" L); 5 dessert spoons, and 19 teaspoons, all with fiddle swell handles and tipt ends, plus 1 tablespoon with fiddle tipt handle, 1 sugar spoon with engraved decoration and square bowl, and 1 cream ladle with gilt bowl and beaded edges. Items marked sterling include 6 of the above mentioned tablespoons (all 8" L), the 5 dessert spoons, 13 of the teaspoons, and the cream ladle (all also have Whiting hallmark except for the ladle, which is marked for Towle). Weight of Sterling items: 22.59 oz troy. Weight of items not marked sterling: 15.63 oz.
PROVENANCE: The Estate of Cora Jane Spiller, Bowling Green, KY.
CONDITION: Overall good condition; some spoons have dents to bowl and wear to ends. A couple with bends to handles. One teaspoon has a 1/4" tear to bowl. Most items monogrammed.
