Vintage sterling silver flatware set by Whiting, Duke of York pattern, including 11 dinner forks (7-3/4" L0, 12 luncheon forks (7" L), 8 salad/dessert forks, 9 place spoons, 12 teaspoons, 11 ice cream forks, 12 dinner knives with sterling weighted handles (9-3/4" L), 10 knives (8-3/4"L) and 1 knife, 9-1/8" L with newer stainless blade, all with sterling weighted handles but 3 with worn marks. Group also includes 1 sterling weighted knife handle without blade. 87 items total. 71.74 weighable oz troy. Provenance: the estate of Sarah Hunter Hicks Green, formerly of Historic Devon Farm, Nashville, Tennessee. CONDITION: All items except knives monogrammed or engraved. All with surface wear and 4 knife handles with heavy wear down to weighted base.
