Large cobalt decorated stoneware jar, possibly Southern, with cobalt floral decoration and cobalt "6" to one side (denoting gallon capacity), two incised lines around the neck and applied pulled handles. 17 1/2" H. Late 19th century. Condition: Large crack to bottom emanating to base. Several chips to rim.
