1st item: French pierced brass keepsake box or casket with scrolling foliate and cherub decoration and Bacchus mask feet. Unmarked. 8 1/2″ H x 12 1/2″ W x 6 1/4″ D. 2nd item: French gilt-mounted fluted crystal bowl with paw feet and painted floral gilt decoration to the bowl body. Unmarked. 4″ H x 6 3/4″ W x 4 1/8″ D. Both items late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: 1st item: Overall good condition. Likely had original liner, now absent. 2nd item: Overall good condition with some minor oxidation to brass.
