Two small Meissen titled allegorical porcelain figurines, each depicting a cherub with hearts. The first one wields a hammer and is titled "Te Les Punis" (5-1/2", with underglaze mark and scorch mark on underside); the second putti discovers two hidden hearts and is titled "Te Decouvre Tout" (4-1/2", unglazed bottom with additional numbers 34, 127 and impressed F13 ). Both German, late 19th century. Provenance: the estate of Elsie Seabrook, Tunica, Mississippi. Condition: 1st item has minute chip to back of putti's robe and reattached big toe, loss to tip of sash. 2nd item has 1/8" abrasion to front base and possible 1/4" firing flaw or repair to foot.
