1st item: Georg Jensen sterling silver Cactus vase, design #572F by Gundorph Albertus. Marked on the base with date marks for 1945 to the present. 5 1/2" H x 2 1/4" dia. Likely Mid-Century. 4.960 troy ounces. 2nd item: Kalo hand wrought sterling silver stamp box with ebonized finial. Base stamped "Hand Wrought / Sterling / Kalo / SB2". 2 1/8" H x 2 1/8" dia. 2.775 troy ounces. 3rd-4th items: Pair (2) of Mexican modernist design sterling silver two-light candelabra, both marked on the base HECHO EN MEXICO D. F. .925 STERLING. 5 1/4" H X 7 3/4" L. 26.970 troy ounces. 34.700 total troy ounces. Provenance: The collection of Gary Glesser of Loudon, Tennessee, by descent from his grandparents, Captain Hoyt and Rachel Holton of Toledo, Ohio. Hoyt Holton became, at age 17, the youngest captain of a Great Lakes Freighter. In the 1960s, Captain Holton participated in a 26-day Admiral Byrd Society trip replicating the explorer's famous transpolar expedition, during which he met the Pope and Soviet Premier Nikita Kruschev. Many items in the collection were brought back as souvenirs from that journey and other frequent voyages.
