Two Native American Cherokee rivercane baskets. 1st item: Cherokee rivercane carrying basket, round form with square base and alternating bands of dyed walnut and blood root. 13 1/2" H x 10" W x 9 1/4" D. 2nd item: Cherokee rivercane carrying basket, small rectangular form with alternation bands of dyed walnut and blood root. This basket with unusual band of blood root weavers applied around the rim. 10 1/2" H x 11 3/4" W x 7 1/4" D. Both 1st half 20th century. Condition: 1st item: Overall excellent condition. 2nd item: Overall very good condition with slight loss to one corner and one slight break to rim. White paint residue to handle.
