Group of autographs of political and military figures collected during the WWII service and entertainment career of Lanny Ross. Includes Eleanor Roosevelt and Douglas MacArthur signatures on banknotes from the Pacific; 8 personal notes from Mrs. MacArthur; personal correspondence with General Dwight Eisenhower; Richard Nixon; NY Gov. Thomas Dewey; NY Gov. Averell Harriman; NY Mayor Ed Koch plus others. All were collected by Lanny Ross, a singer, actor and radio personality who passed away in Manhattan in 1988. Also included in group are 4 Nixon White House Christmas cards and Mr. Ross' WWII Legion of Merit medal, 2" L with ribbon. Circa 1940s to 1980s. Provenance: Descendants of Lanny Ross. Condition: Some folds to corners and toning to banknotes. Minor toning to paper on other correspondence.
