Persian Ferahan Sarouk or Malayer rug, single-weft wool on cotton. Center with two concentric diamond shape fields, both with foliate decoration, within three borders. Woven in colors of red, blue, green, cream, pink and salmon. 85" H x 51 1/2" W. Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The Collection of Dr. Ken and Linda Moore, purchased from The Oriental Shop, Nashville.
CONDITION: Rewoven repair to one edge and refringing to opposite ends. Some repair along selvages. Otherwise in very good condition with minimal wear to pile.
