Group of three historic European books. Item 1: Hamburg, Topographical, Political and Historical, Volume Two, by J. L. Hess, 1789, 410 pages in German. Book with 3 fold-out maps of Hamburg. Creases and some foxing on maps. Crayon marks on map of Ritzebuttel. Overall toning and grime and some crayon on pages. Poor condition, damaged binding. 7-1/4" x 4-1/2" x 1-1/4'. Item 2: Three books bound together including (1) Breviarium Pontificum Romanorum, (The Liturgy of the Roman pontiff…) by Johann Conrad Dieterich and History professor Gieslena, 1663, in Latin, (2) Trutina Statuum Europae, (Balance of the States of Europe), by Duc Henri de Rohan, 1668, in Latin, (3) Vita Alberti Walsteini, "The Story of Albert Walsteinii, Duke Friedlandiae", by Galeacii Gualdi, 1668, in Latin, decorated vellum cover, 6-1/2" x 4" x 1-3/4". Some staining, warping, good/fair condition. Item 3: Tooled leather-bound German Bible compilation, 1655, with engravings by Peter Troschel. 5-1/4" x 3-1/4" x 2-1/2". Condition: Possibly later binding, toning, some warping, closure straps missing.
