Four (4) Chippendale style mahogany dining side chairs, serpentine crest rails with C scroll moldings and curved ears over a pierced, ribbon carved splat, tapering molded stiles terminating in raked rear feet, molded side and front rails, square front legs with fluted fronts and sides, and square stretchers. Slip in seats with damask red, blue and yellow on cream upholstery in a pattern simulating crewel embroidery. (See 7 similar chairs from same consignor with identical upholstery also in this auction, lot 152). 36" H x 21" W x 18" D. Seat height 18". English, mid to late 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Deaccessioned by the Arkansas Museum of Fine Arts Foundation to benefit the acquisitions fund.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with minor wear.
