James Vance Miller (West Virginia/Virginia, 1912-2002), "Farm Pond," impressionist oil on board landscape, depicting a farm in spring under a partly cloudy blue sky, with low hills or mountains in the background. Signed "J. Vance Miller" lower right, with previous owner name "Mrs. Myron King" (wife of Nashville's Lyzon gallery owner Myron King) written en verso. Housed in a carved wood frame with partial gilding and a light green painted wash. Sight: 11" H x 15" W. Frame: 17" H x 21" W.
CONDITION: Painting in excellent condition. 6" area of veneer loss to frame, under the bottom center lip.
