A near pair of Louis XV style marble top walnut commode stands, rouge-veined marble inset tops, gilt bronze epaulets, cabriolet legs and gilt bronze sabots. One features a hand dovetailed drawer over over a marble lined cabinet with inlaid sunburst design on the door and parquetry sides and is 33"H x 18"W x 14-1/2"D. The other features a false front of drawers opening to reveal a cabinet ined with enamel and is 34"H x 18"W x 14-1/2" D. French, late 19th to early 20th century. Condition: One table is missing its rear bronze sabots and has loose front sabots. Original knobs. Both have scattered scuffs, scratches and abrasions, and 1" to 2" areas of loss to molding around marble (see photographs).
