Grouping of three late 19th/early 20th century lanterns including Peter Gray, C. T. Ham, and C. Harvie. 1st item: Peter Gray decorated railroad signal lantern including wooden carrying box. Black paint and gilt decoration and bail handle, reverse with handle, beveled lens in a hinged frame, fitted with a hinged shutter, plate marked "PETER GRAY. MAKER. BOSTON", interior with a reflector and removable font. 13 1/4" H. Late 19th century. 2nd item: Automobile lantern with marked cap, "C. T. HAM MANUFACTURING CO. NO. 18" tubular lantern, bail handle, mounting bracket, hinged lens and each side with ruby lens inserts, interior burner and font. 10 1/4" H to top of cap. Late 19th/Early 20th century. 3rd item: Brass marine lantern with makers plate marked "C" HARVIE & CO, LTD 117 PRIEST ST BIRMINGHAM", glass panes with one sliding pane opening to a slide out font and burner with handle, bisected silvered reflector, period burner, rear mounting bracket. 19 1/2" H. Late 19th century. Provenance: Gatlinburg, TN collection. Condition: 1st item: paint loss to top cap area, overall very good condition. 2nd item: solder joints visible, expected oxidation to lantern surface. 3rd item: overall very good condition.
