Louis XV-style kingwood marquetry pier cabinet with foliate intarsia and gilt bronze mounts. Consisting of a rectangular-shaped black marble top with front rounded projecting corners; above a plain conforming frieze, canted sides, and two doors that open to two interior shelves; all resting on a shaped skirt with rounded projecting feet. The front and sides are profusely decorated with geometric, foliate, and floral basket intarsia inlay and the case is fitted with bronze mounts throughout including ormolu female caryatid mounts on the canted sides. 42 3/4" H x 50" W x 46 1/4" D. 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall very good condition with general expected use wear.
