Two (2) East Tennessee pottery, attributed the Mort family pottery of Jefferson County, TN. Items including a transitional stoneware pottery canning jar with bulbous body and channeled rim for lid (9" H) and a straight sided pottery jar (6 5/8" H). Both third quarter of 19th century. Condition: Canning jar with scattered shallow chips to inner rim, body, and base. Straight jar very good condition with various firing flaws to body.
