French Louis XV style marquetry commode, serpentine block form. Rouge marble top above a conforming case with two banks of three half-length drawers, concave sides, and a valanced skirt. Cabriole legs are extensions of stiles and terminate in gilt sabots to front and rear feet. Ormolu mounts to sides and legs and all drawers with foliate ormolu pulls. 34" H x 57" W x 24 1/4" D. Early 20th century.
PROVENANCE: The estate of Pia Stratton, Nashville, Tennessee.
CONDITION: Overall good condition with expected general use wear. Some scattered veneer patches, lifting and minor losses to veneer. Some possible old insect wear to lower center back.
