2 albumen photographs of Nashville, Tennessee during the Civil War, possibly half of original stereocards (but unmounted), both 2-7/8" x 2-3/4". 1st photo has pencil inscription en verso: "View from front of the State House looking over the field during the Battle at Nashville, Tenn. Dec. 15 1864." Depicts six men, some possibly in uniform, and 1 woman in a cloak standing and looking over the city. Small lower right corner fold. 2nd photo shows four men on a bridge with pencil inscription: "Fortified bridge over the Cumberland River on Louisville/Nashville Railroad." 2 small folds with minute area of loss on lower edge. Condition: Both photos in generally good condition with slight toning (see description for details).
