The focal point is the train station in East Stroudsberg, Pennsylvania (the artist's home town during this period), under a blanket of snow, with Christmas lights shining in the foreground against a darkened sky Rendered in a heavy impasto technique. Signed and dated "Strauser 67" lower right. Housed in a contemporary gilt frame. Sight: 17 3/4" H x 23 1/2" W. Framed: 20 1/2" H x 26 1/4" W.
PROVENANCE: The collection of Kathryn Zervos, granddaughter of the artist.
