Two (2) English George III Style Hepplewhite Pembroke tables, each with crossbanded D-form drop leaves and square tapered legs, one (1) having finely figured mahogany veneer with inlaid oval design to top, and one (1) with satinwood veneer having contrasting banding and line inlay to its drawer and line inlaid legs. Both have an operational drawer to one side and faux drawer to the other. Mahogany table measures: 27 3/4" H x 28 3/4" D x 18 1/2" W (center) x 36 1/2" total W. Satinwood table measures: 28 1/2" H x 29 1/8" D x 18" W (center) x 28 1/2" total W. Satinwood table early to mid 19th century, Mahogany table second half of the 19th century.
PROVENANCE: Property from the Collection of Jo Ann Cline Yates, Lookout Mountain Tennessee. Satinwood table purchased 1993 from Breakspeare Antiques, Gloucestershire, England. A copy of the original receipt will be made available to the winning bidder.
CONDITION: Both tables overall good condition with scattered splits, small losses/repairs and warping to veneer commensurate with age. Both with shrinkage cracks to top and sewing bird scars underneath tops.
